What makes the Solheim Cup? The same thing as the Ryder Cup. Professional golfers leaving behind their day to day grind of making a living on the tour and just playing golf for country. PGA golfers are just "golfers" for three days.
Maybe it is time to start marketing these ladies. Not only are there several attractive women on the tour, there are some very interesting personalities and in some cases there are actually looks and personalities in the same package. What the LPGA needs is some good old fashion marketing. They need to get those "personalities" that make the Solheim so entertaining out there.
It was Arnold Palmer that excited crowds with his army which started to bring a lot of attention to the PGA and look where it is today. Within the LPGA there are some great characters and, to be honest, some personalities that it is time to let the world know they exist. It's time to let their hair down and let the world see them as we saw them this past weekend. You do that and they will come!
